Job summary

Wow Woodbury Chevrolet is seeking an Automotive Technician - B in the Service department to perform mechanical repairs and diagnostics on Chevrolet and other brands. This hourly, flat-rate role rewards efficiency and quality, with ongoing opportunities to expand skills toward an A-level technician.

You will work in a structured shop, following repair orders, using diagnostic tools, and collaborating with service advisors to ensure timely repairs and customer safety.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on automotive technician experience in a dealership or professional repair shop environment.
• Experience performing mechanical repairs on Chevrolet vehicles; GM or multi-brand models is a plus.
• Ability to perform both basic and more complex diagnostic and repair work on vehicles, including drivability concerns.
• Proficiency using automotive diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and repair information systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality repairs the first time.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repair and maintenance on Chevrolet and other makes and models, following OEM and dealership standards.
• Conduct basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures to identify vehicle issues accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with and perform complex diagnostic and repair work on engines, transmissions, and other major vehicle systems when capable.
• Follow repair orders and document work performed with clear notes.
• Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and repair information systems to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle concerns.
• Perform multi-point inspections and identify needed maintenance or repairs to support customer safety and vehicle longevity.
• Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training to advance technical skills and progress toward A-level technician responsibilities.
• Contribute to shop productivity to maximize flat rate premium pay and meet department goals.
