Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Houston, TX is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision. You’ll handle oil changes, brakes, suspension, and warranty-related repairs per your experience.

You will support senior technicians, build ASE credentials, and contribute to vehicle safety and uptime. This is an on-site role with competitive pay and benefits including medical insurance, PTO, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional within the first year.
• Must have complete set of tools and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must be on-site; this position cannot be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision.
• Support senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as you build skills.
• Maintain vehicle reliability and safety to reduce downtime and ensure vehicles are ready for customers.
