Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician for a busy Baker, LA shop. Diagnose difficult problems, perform quality repairs, and document work clearly to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electrical and drivability diagnostics.
• Experience writing repair estimates.
• Comfortable using computers, shop management software, and digital inspections.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive, team-first attitude.
• Valid driver’s license.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Complete electrical and drivability repairs.
• Repair engines, steering, suspension, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
• Accurately write and document repair estimates.
• Utilize shop management software and digital vehicle inspections.
• Communicate repair recommendations with service advisors and teammates.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop.
