Overview

Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to start a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP) to support this initiative.

Job Responsibilities

1. Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
2. Complete repair orders and warranty requests following Kia and Retailer policies.
3. Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems using Kia diagnostic tools and strategies.
4. Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs timely, communicating effectively with the team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Additional Information

Employment opportunities are with independently owned Kia Retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time positions with these Retailers, not directly with Kia or ERS. Employment is subject to applicable laws and retailer discretion, based on eligibility, skills, and experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Honorable Discharge from military service.
• Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field.
• Willingness to pass drug screening and background checks.
