Job summary

The Sewell Cadillac Buick GMC team in West Texas is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at a long-standing, locally owned dealership with extensive brand representation. You will collaborate closely with service staff to ensure accurate repairs and timely updates for customers.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds. Prior dealership experience and state inspection licensing are a plus; drug and background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds and occasionally more.
• Manufacturer certifications and experience preferred.
• Dealership or automotive repair experience required.
• State Inspection license is a plus.
• Drug screening and background screening required.
• Provide all government I-9 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and repair vehicles.
• Communicate with service team regarding repairs.
• Monitor repair time and update service advisors regularly.
• Maintain adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation.
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs.
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees.
• Attend company and factory training.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations.
