Responsibilities

• Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guests
• Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns
• Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results
• Ability to remove and replace engines and/or transmissions
• Diagnosticskillsfor common items (system charging test, coolant pressure test, block test, AC evac and recharge--as well as AC diag, heating diag, etc)
• Electrical diagnosis of vehicle systems over a range of all makes and models

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests
• 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
• ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve
• MAC609 certification preferred, we will pay for you to test to get it
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
• Ability to remove and replace engines and/or transmissions
• Meet or exceed hourly goals, ability to flag 40+ hours out of 1 bay
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
• Professional appearance and strong communication
• A desire for long-term career development

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles
• Efficiently navigate a computer
