Job summary

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an Automotive Technician / Mechanic or Lead/Foreman for a seasoned Sr. Master Technician. The Hayden shop offers weekend closure to spend time with family and friends, plus extensive benefits and ongoing training.

Location: 419 W Miles Ave, Hayden, ID 83835, USA. We value energetic, positive technicians who seek solutions and guest satisfaction as top priorities. ASE certification is preferred and Diesel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of automotive technician experience.
• ASE certifications preferred or plan to achieve L1.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes/models.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix vehicles for guests.
• Work across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Perform full, accurate courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Collaborate with the service team to address guest concerns.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards.
• Support team lead responsibilities for qualified candidates.

Job Overview

We are looking for technicians/mechanics who are energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our guest.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Technicians use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guest
• Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate customer concerns
• Work together with other Technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results
• For a qualified lead/foreman additional responsibilities and compensation for managing a team would include additional oversight, assignment and workflow management responsibilities.

• Positive attitude and a desire to serve guest
• 8+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
• ASE Certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve L1
• Diesel experience preferred
• Euro a plus!
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
• Meet or exceed hourly goals
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
• Professional appearance and strong communication
• A desire for long-term career development

Physical Requirements

• Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles
• Efficiently navigate a computer
