GMC Danvers is seeking an experienced Automotive / Service Technician to join our busy shop. We are part of Village Automotive Group, serving Greater Boston and beyond. The role offers a competitive pay range of $75,000-$100,000 and full-time hours.

You will diagnose and repair vehicles, perform routine maintenance per manufacturer specifications, and communicate with the Service Manager about work performed and any parts needed. A strong commitment to safety and continuous learning is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as an auto technician in a dealership or shop environment.
• ASE/OEM certification preferred, but not required.
• Must have own tools.
• 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles as requested.
• Service vehicles in a timely manner for routine maintenance per dealer and manufacturer recommendations.
• Communicate with Service Manager or Advisor regularly about work performed and parts needed.
• Keep up with required knowledge by attending workshops and classes.
• Follow safety requirements and local/federal standards when using tools and equipment.
• Adhere to best practices and report any accidents to management as soon as possible.

Pay: $75,000-$100,000

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles as requested
• Service vehicles in a timely manner for routine scheduled maintenance in accordance with dealer and manufacturer recommendations
• Communicate with the designated Service Manager or Advisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes, new parts needed or any other concerns related to repair or maintenance work on vehicles
• Keep up with required knowledge and skills in automotive maintenance by attending workshops, seminars or other classes to help ensure the work completed is of the highest quality
• Follow all safety requirements and local and federal standards when working with all tools and equipment
• Adhere to best practices when working in the automotive service environment by reporting any accidents or incidents to management as soon as possible

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as an auto technician in a dealership or shop environment
• ASE/OEM certification preferred, but not required
• 21+ years old
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position
