Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in Tuscaloosa, AL seeks a General Automotive Technician to service a broad range of vehicle repairs and quickly identify performance problems.

You will perform Total Car Care and preventative maintenance, assist other technicians, and clearly explain issues to service writers. Must own professional tools, have a valid driver's license, and maintain safe shop practices. We offer competitive pay, health benefits, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience working as a General Automotive/R&R Technician
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment

Responsibilities

• Total Car Care & Preventative Maintenance
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to service writers and technicians
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools and repair techniques
• Professionally record findings so that repairs costs are accurately estimated
