Goodyear Automotive Technician Job Description

Location: 1 East Nepessing Street, Lapeer, MI

Starting Pay Range: $25 - $35 Hourly - Flat Rate

Open Interview Hours: Mondays 10-2

About the Role

As an Automotive Technician at Goodyear, you will inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive services while providing excellent guest experiences. You will have opportunities for ongoing training, mentoring, and career advancement in a rapidly evolving industry.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills
  • Inspect, repair, and diagnose systems such as brakes, suspension, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems
  • Attend formal training sessions to stay updated on automotive technology
  • Maintain standards of safety, sales, service, and housekeeping
  • Perform manual tasks including lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Minimum of three years automotive repair experience, including diagnosis and problem-solving
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Preferred: ASE A4 and A5 certifications, state inspection licenses, or MAC certification
Additional Requirements
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Proficiency with diagnostic technology and tools
