OPEN INTERVIEW HOURS: MONDAYS 10-2

Location: 1 East Nepessing Street Lapeer, MI

  • ASE Reimbursement with Pay Increases (including brakes, electrical, AC and heating, engine performance, engine repair)
  • Ongoing Training Opportunities with a Defined Career Path
  • Flat Rate role with a 75% guarantee (30 hours booked per week)

Starting Pay Range: $25 - $35 Hourly - FLAT RATE

As an Automotive Technician in one of Goodyear's Auto Service centers, you will be responsible to professionally inspect, diagnose, and perform automotive services, while delivering an excellent guest experience. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and continually learn about new technologies in the rapidly changing automotive industry, while also being successful in a team environment.

What Our Automotive Technicians Do:

  • Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills
  • Inspect, Repair and Diagnose systems such as brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, coolant systems
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay informed of rapidly changing automotive technology. Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours
  • Maintain expected standards of sales, service, safety, and housekeeping. Use protective equipment when operating machinery and manual working tools
  • Perform manual tasks which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license
  • Must have three years of experience in automotive repair, including diagnosis, problem-solving, and repairs
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Preferred Qualifications: ASE A4 Certification in Steering and Suspension, A5 Certification in Brakes, State inspection licenses, MAC certification

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays depending on location
  • Ability to use technology and applications to support diagnostics
  • Utilize tools, skills, and product knowledge to make recommendations to guests based on manufacturing guidelines
