Joe CooperGroup Chevrolet Cadillac GMC of Shawnee is seeking a Service Technician of all experience levels to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealership vehicles. We encourage applicants with or without GM experience and support your growth through paid training and GM certification programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience.
• One year of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.
• Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance for customer and dealership vehicles.
• Fully understands and carries out repair orders as dispatched.
• Conducts full inspection, diagnosis, and troubleshooting to determine repair needs.
• Performs quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed.
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs efficiently.
• Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
• Communicates effectively with Service Advisor and Parts department personnel.
• Attends staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required.

Qualifications
