Job Summary Philadelphia Technician Training Institute is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive diagnostics. This role involves performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operating efficiently. The Automotive Technician Instructor will also have opportunities to engage in adult education initiatives, sharing knowledge and expertise with our students so that they can pursue a successful career in the field.

Duties

• Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify vehicle issues using advanced automotive diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
• Execute complex repairs including engine rebuilds, HVAC/R system repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
• Provide guidance and training in a classroom setting for students who are interested in an Automotive career.
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous education.
  
  

Experience

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, including plumb and weld capabilities, is a plus.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
