Job summary

Cox Automotive in Belcamp, MD is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Technician II to perform preventive maintenance and standard repairs on our fleet. This role is on-site with a day shift, offering a stable work environment in a busy service shop.

You will handle oil changes, filters, brakes, electrical systems, and diagnostics, while maintaining vehicle history records. Opportunities to up-fit vehicles and contribute to safety inspections are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years related experience.
• 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance: oil changes, oil filter, fuel filter, and inspection.
• Repair and maintain vehicles including brakes, tires, electrical, HVAC, and driveline.
• Keep shop area clean and follow safety standards; dispose fluids properly.
• Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records.
• May up fit new vehicles with required equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Level II: advanced diagnostics and parts coordination.
