Job summary

Grease Monkey in Acworth, GA is seeking a Technician B. The role performs a range of tasks from brakes and oil changes to electrical work and diagnostics, while educating customers on preventive maintenance. You are paid an hourly rate plus commission; strong teamwork and safe work practices are essential.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and ASE certifications are a huge plus. Ability to read and interpret manuals is required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) plus years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine notes and tickets.
• Ability to present information to customers.
• Valid Driver's License.
• State Emission Certification, ASE Certifications and Vehicle Inspector Certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Performs work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Work on more complex repairs and diagnostics, including electrical systems and minor engine work.
• Assist Tech A and train Tech C; repair brakes, A/C, transmissions, steering and suspension.
• Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
• Document all work and road-test vehicles as needed.
• Ensure shop areas are neat and all tools are accounted for.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations and safety guidelines.
