Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and technical information.
• Willingness to continue learning new technology and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance according to dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic equipment, inspections, and road tests.
• Repair and maintain engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems.
• Perform thorough multi-point vehicle inspections and identify additional service needs.
• Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately document the cause, correction, recommendations, and completed repairs on repair orders.
• Communicate findings and additional repair needs clearly and promptly with Service Advisors.
• Work with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts and keep repairs moving efficiently.
• Accurately account for time spent on each repair.
• Stay current with manufacturer technical bulletins, repair procedures, and training requirements.
• Complete manufacturer-sponsored training and maintain required certifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist with the development of apprentice technicians when assigned.
