Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Austin, TX seeks an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You will learn under experienced techs, perform routine maintenance, and communicate repair needs to customers.

The role offers a flat-rate pay model, opportunities to earn ASE certifications, and comprehensive benefits from day one. Responsibilities include oil changes, tire service, battery checks, and road testing.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid automobile driver's license required and ability to drive client & company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance & tire repair including oil changes and inspections.
• Reading, writing, and math skills are required.
• 2+ years of automotive repair experience preferred; Vocational-Technical School or equivalent; ASE certification or similar training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Pursue and maintain ASE certifications within two years (company covers test fees, bonuses for each test passed).
