Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is hiring an Automotive Technician in Texas. This full-time, flat-rate position includes a 75% hour guarantee, with opportunities for growth and ASE reimbursement as you advance through brakes, electrical systems, A/C and engine performance.

You will diagnose and repair automotive systems, mentor teammates, and maintain safety standards while using the latest diagnostic tools and equipment. Goodyear supports a diverse workforce and family-friendly scheduling.

Qualifications

• Three years of automotive repair experience or three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist.
• Valid driver's license with ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer ASE A4 (Steering & Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) certifications or state inspection/MAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
• Troubleshoot problems using up-to-date diagnostic technology.
• Mentor teammates and continuously learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
• Maintain high safety, service, and housekeeping standards while using protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels and prolonged standing/bending.
