Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships seeks an Automotive Technician to diagnose, service, and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, inspections, and pre-delivery checks on new vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of automotive technician experience in a dealership or large facility (preferred Nissan).
• ASE certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and technical skills.
• Positive attitude with great communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles based on experience, test results, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
• Conduct pre-delivery service checks on new vehicles.
• Communicate findings and service recommendations to service advisors and customers.
• Keep vehicles and workspaces clean during and after repairs.
• Help maintain shop organization, safety, and inventory levels.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings.
