Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Indianapolis is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, including brakes, suspension, engine, A/C, and electrical systems. This full-time, flat-rate position offers 75% hourly guarantee and a competitive pay rate.

You will work with modern diagnostics, mentor teammates, maintain safety standards, and provide exceptional service while supporting Goodyear's values and commitment to career growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive repair experience or 3 years in military vehicle maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Preferred: ASE A4 and A5 Certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
• Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills using the latest technology.
• Mentor teammates and continually learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
• Maintain high standards of safety, service, and housekeeping while using protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels and standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
