Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our trusted team at multiple U.S. auto service centers.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles, using the latest diagnostic tools, while mentoring teammates and maintaining safety standards. A flexible schedule and valid driver’s license are required, with opportunities for growth and professional certification reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of automotive repair experience or three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Michigan Mechanic Certification in Suspension & Steering, Brakes, and HVAC, or equivalent ASE certifications.
• Preferred: Additional certifications in Electrical Systems and Engine Repair.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
• Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills using the latest technology.
• Mentor teammates and continually learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
• Maintain high standards of safety, service, and housekeeping while using protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels and standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.
