Job summary

Sir Walter Chevrolet in Raleigh invites motivated Automotive Service Technicians to join a family‑owned dealership with over 95 years of service. You will perform repairs and maintenance per repair orders and GM specifications.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems; test‑drive vehicles; complete multi‑point inspections; and communicate repair needs with Service Advisors.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience required.
• GM dealership experience is a plus but not required.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to producing quality repairs and outstanding customer service.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems.
• Test-drive vehicles and utilize GM diagnostic equipment to accurately diagnose concerns.
• Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Complete multi-point inspections and recommend additional maintenance when needed.
• Communicate repair needs and estimated completion times with Service Advisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
