The role requires a high school diploma, preferably with further training or ASE certification. A strong commitment to problem-solving and customer service is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred.
• Automotive Service Excellence/ASE or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vehicle malfunction codes using diagnostic tools.
• Establish service center procedures for tracking repair status.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks like tire rotations and oil changes.
• Conduct in-depth inspections of all vehicle systems.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Convey repair information clearly to customers.
