Job summary

VIP Auto Accessories seeks an Automotive Technician to service a fleet of vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, document work, and communicate with customers while coordinating with scheduling to minimize downtime.

Applicants should have 3+ years of hands-on automotive or diesel experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a clean driver’s license. ASE certifications are preferred; CDL a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on automotive and/or diesel repair experience, fleet maintenance a plus.
• Strong diagnostic skills with modern diagnostic equipment.
• Must have clean and valid driver's license (CDL a plus).
• ASE/Manufacturer certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles (light- to medium-duty).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with diagnostic tools.
• Complete inspections to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate with customers.
• Collaborate with scheduling teams to prioritize urgent repairs.
• Recommend proactive maintenance to reduce future issues.

The Impact You'll Make

As an Automotive Technician on our fleet maintenance team, you’ll be more than a mechanic — you’ll be a trusted partner to the businesses that keep our city running. Your expertise will directly reduce costly breakdowns, extend vehicle life, and ensure our customers’ fleets are always operational. From delivery vans to service trucks, you’ll keep the wheels turning for industries that depend on us every day.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of fleet vehicles, including light- and medium-duty trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
• Complete inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers about needed repairs and timelines.
• Collaborate with our scheduling teams to prioritize urgent repairs and minimize downtime.
• Recommend proactive maintenance strategies to help customers avoid future issues.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of hands‑on automotive and/or diesel repair experience (fleet maintenance experience a plus).
• ASE/Manufacturer Certifications (Preferred)
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of brake systems, suspension, electrical systems, and engine repair.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus) and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently.
