Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team at Goodyear Service Centers in the United States. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems, build your customer base, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop.

We offer a 40-hour flat-rate guarantee for the first 30 days and a 30-hour guarantee thereafter, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, tuition assistance, and tire discounts.

Qualifications

• Three years' automotive repair experience or three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Preferred ASE A4/A5 certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
• Troubleshoot problems using the latest technology.
• Mentor teammates and learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
• Maintain high safety, service, and housekeeping standards while using protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels and prolonged standing/bending/squatting.
