Job summary

Balderston Auto Group in Smithville, MO is seeking an automotive technician to perform repairs per repair orders, diagnose systems, and ensure high-quality service. You will work with the parts department, maintain tools, and participate in test drives to verify repairs.

Qualifications

• Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Document and perform work as outlined on repair orders following dealership and factory standards.
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount; replace oil and air filters.
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary; check tire pressure.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts; keep the shop area neat and clean.
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals; operate tools safely.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs; communicate with Service Advisor.
