Job summary

Meineke Car Care Centers 173 is seeking motivated individuals to assist experienced technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles in our Illinois shop. You will follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while working with tools and systems across brakes, suspension, exhaust, and other components.

You'll help communicate issues and estimates to customers, maintain accurate service records, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with automotive trends and Meineke

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience or training in automotive repair preferred.
• Familiarity with automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines while handling tools and vehicle systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and assist in basic repairs on brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, and other components.
• Maintain accurate service records including parts used, labor hours, and vehicle conditions.
