Job summary

Goodyear in Evansville, IN is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of automotive systems. You’ll use the latest diagnostic tools, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor teammates as technology advances.

The role requires safety focus, long periods of standing, and occasional evenings or weekends. Three years of experience or military vehicle maintenance, a valid license, and ASE A4/A5 or MAC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' automotive repair experience or three years in military vehicle maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Preferred: ASE A4 (Steering & Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) Certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, A/C and cooling systems.
  • Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills with up-to-date tech.
  • Mentor teammates and learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
  • Maintain safety, service, and housekeeping standards; use protective equipment.
  • Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels, and standing, bending and squatting.
