Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to begin a career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. To support this initiative, Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Job Description

1. Assist in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components, under the guidance of experienced technicians.
2. Complete repair orders and warranty requests in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
3. Participate in hands-on training sessions to develop skills in diagnostics and repairs using Kia diagnostic tools and equipment.
4. Support the team by adhering to service and communication practices that promote customer satisfaction.

This entry-level position is designed for Veterans ready to start a career in automotive service. Employment opportunities listed are with independently owned and operated Kia Retailers. Applicants are applying for full-time positions with a Kia Retailer, not with KUS or ERS. Employment is subject to applicable laws and regulations. Kia and ERS do not guarantee employment or make warranties regarding participation in VTAP. Employment decisions are at the discretion of each Kia Retailer and depend on meeting eligibility, skill, and experience requirements.

Requirements

• Honorable Discharge
• Valid Driver's License from any state with a clean driving record
• Interest in automotive repair and maintenance, with a willingness to learn
• Willingness to complete and pass drug screening and background checks
