Job summary

Dobbs Tire and Auto Centers seeks an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a fast-paced shop setting. You will perform inspections, wheel alignments, tire services, and routine maintenance while upholding safety standards and quality workmanship.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience, familiarity with diagnostic tools, and a customer-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience.
• 1+ year of alignment technician experience or completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology.
• Extensive knowledge of tire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.
• Growing knowledge of steering, suspension, and general vehicle maintenance.
• Proficient in the use of standard automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
• Valid Drivers' License Required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and other suspension or steering adjustments as needed.
• Conduct general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, and tune-ups.
• Utilize specialized automotive tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and document completed work in accordance with company policies.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards in the shop.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers, explaining findings and recommended repairs clearly.
