Job summary

Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Columbus, OH. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, perform wheel alignments, tire services, and routine maintenance using diagnostic tools, while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of automotive repair experience, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a collaborative, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair experience.
• Two to four years of hands-on automotive maintenance training.
• Extensive knowledge of tire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.
• Growing knowledge of steering, suspension, and general vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and other suspension or steering adjustments as needed.
• Conduct general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, and tune-ups.
• Utilize specialized automotive tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate service records and document completed work in accordance with company policies.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards in the shop.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers, explaining findings and recommended repairs clearly.
