Job summary

DOBBS TIRE & AUTO CENTERS is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, ensuring safe operation and reliable performance. You’ll perform tire services, alignments, and routine maintenance, working closely with teammates to uphold quality and safety standards in a fast-paced shop.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on repair experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of automotive repair experience or 2–4 years of hands-on training in automotive maintenance.
1+ year of experience as an alignment technician or completion of a post-secondary vocational program in automotive technology.
Extensive knowledge of tire installation, wheel balancing, and diagnosing ride disturbances.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and other suspension or steering adjustments as needed.
Conduct general vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, and tune-ups.
Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Maintain accurate service records and document completed work in accordance with company policies.
Work collaboratively with team members to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards in the shop.
Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Provide professional and courteous service to customers, explaining findings and recommended repairs clearly.
