Job summary

Lynchburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (LCDJR) is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our Fixed Operations team. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring safe operation and adherence to manufacturer and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Chrysler Jeep Ram experience is a plus; state inspection license is required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Formal automotive training or experience preferred.
State Inspection License required.
Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and software.
Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, inspections.
Repair and service engines, transmissions, fuel systems, suspension, steering, and HVAC.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as wiring, batteries, alternators, sensors.
Follow manufacturer specs, service manuals, and technical service bulletins.
Ensure repairs comply with safety policies and environmental regulations.
Document repairs and recommendations clearly.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
