Job summary

Carter Myers Automotive's Lynchburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (LCDJR) in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our Fixed Operations team. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, following manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.

You will use diagnostic tools, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical systems while documenting repairs and communicating with service advisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State Inspection License required.
• Formal automotive technology training preferred.
• Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and software.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake servicing, and inspections.
• Repair and service engines, transmissions, fuel systems, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as wiring, batteries, alternators, and sensors.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, service manuals, and technical service bulletins.
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Accurately document repairs and recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
