Job summary

Sun Devil Auto in Phoenix is seeking an Automotive Technician / Mechanic to diagnose and repair customer vehicles while adhering to MAP guidelines and company standards. The role offers competitive compensation based on experience and growth opportunities within a family-owned shop.

The technician will perform multi-point inspections, communicate findings to non-technical staff and customers, and maintain safety and ASE certification requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• ASE certification or equivalent experience/training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to work Monday–Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on inspection/repair orders with accuracy.
• Explains diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals (store manager, service consultants, customers).
• Recommends services to keep vehicles in running condition and documents recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
• Maintains ASE certifications and renewals as needed.
