Job summary

Midas automotive technicians diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in a full-service shop. The role emphasizes independent work with the ability to collaborate with peers as needed, using tools like lifts, tire changers, welding not required.

You will perform a wide range of diagnostics and maintenance tasks on both foreign and domestic vehicles, ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction. A valid driver’s license and ownership of basic tools are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team
• Knowledge of brakes, exhaust, suspension, and engine diagnostics
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Adherence to safety and environmental standards in repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment (lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, scan tools)
• High School Diploma or equivalent; state auto repair certifications preferred
• Valid driver’s license and own tools/equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs using state-of-the-art systems
• Handle tires, brakes, belts, hoses, cooling systems, and exhaust services
• Conduct oil changes and check engine light indicators
• Inspect visually for safety and compliance during service
