Job summary

North County Kia is seeking a dedicated Automotive Technician to perform repairs and maintenance to factory standards in a full-time role. You will diagnose, repair, and road-test vehicles while keeping the work area safe and orderly.

The position offers a $33.80 hourly rate plus a flag rate, with annual compensation ranging from $80,000 to $135,000. Driver's license and English communication skills are required; Kia experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Kia Experience preferred.
• Must have Driver's License.
• Automotive Industry Background.
• Must possess thorough knowledge of all facets of automotive maintenance and repair.
• Must be able to use manual and power hand tools and other machinery safely.
• Ability to communicate well with coworkers and customers.
• Must be able to understand oral and written directions and instructions in English.
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
• CDK Experience.
• Must be able to safely operate a vehicle lift.
• Must be able to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmission.
• Must be able to obtain OSHA training certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repair.
• Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean while being repaired.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair quality.
• Documents work performed on repair order.
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Uses all hazardous chemicals in accordance to product labels and MSDS.
• Adheres to safety rules, policies, and procedures, and immediately reports any accidents, hazards or equipment defects to management.
• Performs all duties in a professional, legal and ethical manner.
• Work & communicate well with the team and successfully communicate with customers on repairs or future needs
