Job summary

CarMax is hiring an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to our safety and quality standards. You will perform maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, and document all work in accordance with CarMax procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate automotive repair experience including engines, brakes, suspension or HVAC.
• Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and compliance standards.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax standards.
• Perform services from basic maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Complete multi-point inspections and document findings per process.
• Repair or replace components to support reconditioning efforts.
• Assist with alignment, suspension, and performance diagnostics.
• Maintain EH&S compliance and a clean, organized work area.
