Stevens Creek Mazda is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to deliver world-class automotive service and ensure 100% guest satisfaction.

You will diagnose malfunctions, perform multi-point inspections, and use diagnostic tools to repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes and A/C systems at a busy Mazda dealership in San Jose, CA. A strong commitment to quality and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive diagnosis and problem‑solving experience.
• ASE Certification (preferred).
• X‑Time/CDK experience (preferred).
• Valid DMV check.
• Willingness to participate in in‑house training.
• Ability to operate all auto‑repair tools.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment (required).
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform accurate repairs.
• Perform multi‑point inspections on every vehicle.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry best practices.
• Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Learn new technical information and techniques to stay proficient in diagnosis and repair.
• Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for customers and company records.
• Communicate directly with Service Advisors so customers are well‑informed of additional services needed.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
