Clavey Auto, a full-service auto-repair shop serving the local and surrounding Glenview communities, is looking for a solid Diagnostic Automotive Technician with outstanding automotive repair & maintenance skills who is willing to grow with our team. Expect to stay challenged with a wide range of vehicles and complex jobs, while working with a great group of highly motivated and dedicated teammates.

EARN: $36 - $44/HR Flat Rate w/ Accelerators up to $8/HR & Bi-weekly guarantee! (Average Annual Income $74,880 - $104,000)

A Technician Flat Rate Pay Plan:

• 65 hour bi-weekly guarantee. However, tech must work at least 80 hours in the pay period to receive the guarantee. The guarantee is paid out at Teammates base rate.
• Tier 1 Billed Hours Accelerator: $4 additional when an A Tech bills 70-79.99 in a pay period
• Tier 2 Billed Hours Accelerator: $6 additional when an A Tech bills 80-89.99 in a pay period
• Tier 3 Billed Hours Accelerator: $8 additional when an A Tech bills 90+ hours in a pay period
• *The accelerators are retro to the first hour worked.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Professional Automotive Repair experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and emissions/after treatment systems, engine diagnostic software on a wide variety of vehicles & equipment.
• Previous experience and/or working knowledge of DOT inspections.
• Experience with Engine and Transmission diagnostics.
• Top end engine repairs.
• Have your own tools and a valid driver's license.
• Strong character & work ethic with a positive attitude.
