• Entry-Level Service Technician
• Experienced Service Technician
• Master Service Technician
  
  

Work Schedule

• Perform repairs listed on work orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools/special service equipment to inspect components and systems
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed of additional service needs, providing repair time estimates
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
  
  

Qualities

• Experience in an automotive dealership
• Strong understanding of the service drive process
• Years of experience vary per position
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service abilities
• Basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude with a customer-focused mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with strong collaboration skills
• Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications
• Proficiency in operating electronic diagnostic equipment
