Job summary

Absolute Auto Service Center in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles with high-quality workmanship and safety. The role requires 5+ years of experience, ASE certification preferred, and proficiency with diagnostic tools.

You will work in a fast-paced shop, communicate with the Service Manager, perform road tests, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
  • ASE Certification(s) preferred or in progress.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC).
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and complete necessary repairs.
  • Communicate with Service Manager to obtain required parts.
  • Inspect vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed.
  • Notify Service Advisor of additional work, unnecessary work, or delays in completion.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
  • Conduct road tests when required.
  • Report equipment defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of customer vehicles.
  • Keep shop area clean and organized.
  • Properly maintain and return all shop tools and manuals.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, hazardous waste, etc.).
  • Operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Report safety concerns immediately.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team.   • Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures
  • Frequent standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Use of PPE (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots) required
