Job summary

Empire Automotive Group Audi Brooklyn is seeking automotive technicians at all levels for our newly renovated Brooklyn facility. You will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems, test-drive vehicles, and work with a collaborative team to meet dealership standards.

We welcome Master, Experienced, and Entry-Level technicians, with ASE/Audi certifications a plus. A valid driver’s license and background check are required. Great growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Automotive Technical School certificate required or preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent acceptable with automotive background.
• ASE certifications in Audi vehicles are a plus.
• Experience at an automotive dealership is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repair work as specified on repair orders.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose systems using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, transmission, brakes, and other systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor on needed repairs and time estimates.
• Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

Entry-Level Service Technician ~ Experienced Service Technician ~ Master Service Technician

Your Daily Work Schedule

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed and provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualities We’re Looking For

• Experience at an automotive dealership.
• Automotive Technical School certificate.
• ASE Certificates in the Audi family of vehicles are a plus.
• Strong understanding of the service drive.
• Years of experience vary per position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude along with a customer service mentality.
• You are open to constructive feedback to improve your performance and development.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate with others effectively.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
