Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our BSRO service team in New Jersey. Learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under guidance of experienced technicians.

You will engage in hands-on tasks and customer interactions to explain repairs and provide quality service. Pay range starts at $19.25–$28.93 per hour with a flat-rate pay model that rewards efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid automobile driver’s license at all times.
• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including oil changes, basic inspections and tire repair.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Aim to obtain or maintain ASE certifications within first two years (tests and fees paid by company); bonus for each test passed.
