Job summary

CarMax in West Point, Virginia is hiring a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, from engines to suspensions, in a climate-controlled facility. You’ll join a team that values integrity and excellence while using advanced tools and ongoing training to grow.

External candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $10,000; hourly pay ranges from $23.28 to $41.94. This role supports safety, customer trust, and continuous improvement at CarMax.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
