Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) in Huntsville, AL to perform mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on a newer vehicle fleet. Expect oil, brake, suspension, and tire work with support from senior technicians as you build expertise.

Requirements include 2 years of professional auto repair or automotive coursework, at least 1 ASE cert with the goal of obtaining 2 more within the first year; must have own toolbox and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Working knowledge across ASE areas listed (engine repair, drivetrain, brakes, etc.).
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• As an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech), perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles with minimal supervision.
• Responsibilities include oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and other routine maintenance or warranty-related repairs.
• Assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostic and repair work as skills grow.

Education

2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications

Ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within first year
