Job summary

Sullivan Tire And Auto Service is hiring an Automotive Technician in Massachusetts. The technician will independently perform vehicle repairs and services, including tire work, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and customer communications, striving for high quality and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, safety inspections, and accurate repair estimates while using tools like VAST and other automotive PC programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A technical degree is a plus!
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, balance and repair tires for passengers and light trucks.
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Conduct and document vehicle safety inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive tools, equipment, and software (e.g., VAST).
• Produce accurate repair estimates for customer vehicles.
• Collaborate with store management to meet productivity and customer satisfaction standards.
• Maintain safety and environmental standards and clean work area.
• Explain repairs to customers in clear, understandable terms.
• Adhere to internal controls and procedures; take on additional responsibilities as needed.
