Job summary

Bridgestone Americas operates Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) and seeks an Automotive Technician in Gainesville, FL. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, cooperating with senior techs to learn hands-on skills and deliver high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced setting.

Our pay includes a flat-rate model with a range from the low teens to mid-twenties per hour, reflecting regional productivity. Medical, vacation, training, and 401(k) benefits accompany competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid automobile driver's license at all times and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance including oil changes, inspections and tire repair.
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
• Two years of automotive repair experience or vocational training preferred. ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and rotate tires as needed.
• Install parts and components for repairs.
• Road test vehicles after service.
• Pursue ASE certifications within two years; company covers test costs.
