Job summary

GLS North America is offering an entry-level Retrofit Technician program in Romulus, MI. You’ll learn alongside experienced technicians and perform basic automotive repairs while training toward certification.

Starting pay is $18/hour during training, with $20–$25/hour after graduation. The role includes comprehensive benefits, paid time off after 30 days, weekly pay, and opportunities to advance to lead or traveling technician roles, with potential travel for exclusive events.

Qualifications

• Passion for cars and hands-on mechanical work.
• Willingness to learn under mentorship from seasoned technicians.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic automotive repairs alongside Retrofit Technician Team Leads.
• Assist with part removals, installations, and vehicle modifications.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using advanced tools.
• Support programming and module reconfiguration processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in team safety meetings and technical training sessions.
