Job summary

Community Automotive Repair in GRAND RAPIDS, MI is seeking a Full-Time Automotive Technician Apprentice. You will work onsite, learn from seasoned technicians, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced auto repair shop.

The position offers competitive pay ($18.08–$25.25/hr) with opportunities for overtime. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Paid Meals.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform buddy lifts for heavier tasks.
• Foundational understanding of automotive systems and repairs.
• Willingness to learn in a hands-on apprenticeship environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Observe and assist in more complex repairs to gain skills.
• Keep the workspace organized and adhere to safety standards.
